2007 MEN IN MISSIONS REPORT TO GA

In reporting to the General Association, we thank God for the ministry of General Baptist men.  With the limited amount of financial support we've received, God has opened doors to give this ministry opportunities to minister and help those devastated by natural disasters, the elderly, and churches of our denomination that were in need of a skilled work force to help rebuild or help wherever needed.  The largest majority of Men in Missions support volunteers are of retirement age, using all levels of their master skills.  We, as Men in Missions, must never turn down someone in need and must always answer a cry for help from anyone and reach out to all in Christian love through service, 1 John 3:16-19.

The Men in Missions Board is still seeking a director to lead this ministry.  I really believe God has someone in mind for this position, all we have to do is be in fervent prayer that the person will respond to this opportunity can contact me at the bottom of page.

This ministry has survived many years with very little physical and financial support.  We know that if Men in Missions keep following this path that the denomination of G/B churches may even face its demise in the near future.  Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to establish a Men in Missions or Brotherhood group in your church.  In doing so, Christ will bless us with our faithfulness in service.

The Brotherhood has had many accomplishments over the years, especially in 2007.  In September of 2007, Florissant G/B Church Men in Missions went to Community Fellowship G/B Church in South Pekin, Illinois, to help rebuild an addition to the church that was destroyed by strong winds, with the help of Fairmount G/B Church Men in Missions.  In one day, these men were able to get the walls up and siding on the new addition.  Praise God!

We have a local Tri-State Brotherhood of Men in Missions that yearly helps support G/B missionaries on the international, national, and local level, to the amount of $960.00 for 2007 with offerings collected at our quarterly meetings.  Just think of what all of our Men in Missions groups could do by joining with other Men in Missions groups within a 100-mile radius of on another.  Please pray that we can establish more Men in Missions groups across the United States and around the world for the G/B denomination and may it all be done in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  Those of you who support this very needed ministry in our denomination, I pray that God will continually bless all you do to advance the Kingdom until our Lord returns.

Nominations for board members will be approved at our Men's Gathering being held at 1st G/B Church in Owensboro, Kentucky, on June 28, 2008.  Please continue to pray for the ministry and that God will have His way for all we do in His glory.  Remember, we still need a director and one more board member.

God Bless.

2006 MEN IN MISSIONS REPORT TO GA

In reporting to the General Association, we thank God for the ministry of General Baptist men.  With the limited amount of support we receive, God has opened doors to give this ministry opportunities to minister in helping those devastated by natural disaster, the elderly, and also those among us in need.  Thank you men's groups who served the needs of those who without your help would have had very little hope.

The Men in Missions board is still seeking a director to lead this ministry.  I really belicve that God has someone in mind for this position; all we have to do is pray that person will respond to this call and step up and accept the position.  Anyone interested in this great ministry opportunity can contact me at the bottom of the page.

This ministry has survived many years with very little physical and financial support, but the lists of accomplishments are many.  One of the most recent, on April 22, 2007, we attended the dedication service at the new Cappadocia G/B Church, destroyed April 2, 2006, rebuilt by dedicated members of that church and men called Men in Missions of G/B coming together to help those in need.  Short of sounding prideful, the church is very beautiful, and something all can be proud of.  Praise the Lord.

Those of you who still support this very needed ministry in our denomination, I pray that God will continually bless all you do to advance thd Kingdom until our Lord returns.

Nominations for three board members will be accepted at our yearly Men's Gathering, being held at Henderson G/B Church, Henderson, Kentucky, June 23, 2007.

Continue to pray for this ministry that God will have His way in all that we do.
